Offered for Part-time and Bilingual Program – Full-time: 3rd to 9th grade

Course proposal:

From Villa-Lobos to João Gilberto, the brazilian way of playing guitar became famous all over the world. This course comprises all the techniques of the Brazilian popular guitar, pop, rock, raggae and folk, as well as specific skills of erudite and jazz guitar. Our course also aims to develop the reading of sheet music and cyphers that might help the study of electric guitar and bass, including the pick technique.

About the teacher:

Danilo Trevisan majored in Music from USP and specialized in violin and guitar. He has participated in orchestras and dance academy. Currently he features with a jazz quartet and a Brazilian instrumental music trio. He also teaches recorder, harmonica, ukelele, bass, guitar and piano. He has studied arrangement, orchestration and improvisation, courses that served as a foundation to develop the Guitar course.
