“I graduated from Móbile in 2015 and from NYU Tisch in 2019. I studied Dramatic Arts and it wasn’t easy but I think those of us who study at Móbile don’t usually play in our comfort zone. “The main thing that Móbile has given me was education, which is very strong, but Móbile has also helped me grow as a person and understand a little more about how the world works and the different cultures. That helped me a lot when it was time to write an application, which is a huge differential compared to other schools that don’t go beyond like Móbile does. At Móbile I participated in Theater in 9th grade and Móbile in the Metropolis in 2nd grade of High School. I was also part of the Sportive Training, practicing many sports. I did volunteer work in the I.T. area and participated in all the Math Challenges, and also, Mobinvest (which is the investment club) of MobMUN.” Na Móbile eu participei do Teatro no 9º ano e do Móbile Na Metrópole no 2º ano do Ensino Médio. “To apply for a foreign university, the extracurricular activities are one of the most important things that universities really consider and Móbile helped a lot with it. Most of the extracurricular activities that I did were at Móbile, only a few were outside of the school, but the ones I was mostly involved and that I experienced in my daily life were at school. Móbile offered a lot of volunteer work options, I did three of them while I was there and really liked them. Many times, in volunteer work, you don’t see all the involvement that there was at Móbile because it’s the students themselves that do it. And Móbile also gives a lot of support to create clubs there. Another thing that was very important was the Scientific Initiation, besides talking about something you like, it helps a lot for the future.”

I think that I had a very good foundation in humanities and exact sciences and that helped me apply for Barnard which is a super interdisciplinary school that want to shape students that can do a lot of things. Having a cultural repertoire and enjoying debates, which was very encouraged at Móbile, for sure helped me decide for a place that was so well-rounded and had such a strong curriculum. I think that not only the cultural agenda, but everything that is done in the direction of cultural repertoire that Móbile does, helps a lot with creativity, seeing different points of view and having this relationship with artistic works.
